Exploring Jobs in the Real World
Students learn about jobs by following and observing people actually doing their jobs in the workplace (called “job-shadowing”). Students explore several careers of interest, interacting with different workers, observing a variety of job activities, and recognizing the qualities of good employees and good employers. The experience provides realistic career information that will aid the student in making career choices. Enrollment is open to students entering grades 8-12 and is a prerequisite for the “Internship”.
